Les architectes de l’agence 51N4E avec le collectif Lab North ont occupé pendant plus d’un an la tour WTC1 à Bruxelles en vue de sa transformation, afin de tester son potentiel à produire de l’urbanité.
WTC : Making City est la 2ème vidéo d’une trilogie réalisée en 2019 dans le cadre du concours pour la transformation de la tour WTC1 à Bruxelles Nord (architectes 51N4E, l’AUC et Jasper Eyers). Entre aout 2017 et janvier 2019, les architectes de l’agence 51N4E avec le collectif Lab North ont occupé la tour afin de tester les grandes idées de leur projet, ici la capacité d’une architecture à produire de l’urbanisme. Dans le but d’expérimenter avant de représenter, ils ont ainsi fabriqué – par leur vécu – de nouveaux outils de conception.
The architects of the 51N4E agency with the Lab North collective occupied the WTC1 tower in Brussels for more than a year with a view to its transformation, in order to test its potential to produce urbanity.
WTC : Making City is the 2nd video in a small trilogy produced in 2019 as part of the competition for the transformation of the WTC1 tower in Brussels North (architects 51N4E, AUC and Jasper Eyers). Between August 2017 and January 2019, the architects of the 51N4E agency with the Lab North collective occupied the tower in order to test the big ideas of their project, here the capacity of architecture to produce urbanism. In order to experiment before representing, they have thus produced – through their experience – new design tools.
